Capital Campaign

As we begin this capital campaign it's important for us to realize there is much we can do to raise money to support God's work. But, our human ability is limited, so we cannot go into an endeavor such as this without the understanding that our Faith in Gods ability to do the supernatural, must never be compromised.

Generosity is central to the practice of Christian stewardship. Oak Valley Church has proven to be generous on so many levels. The people have always risen to the occasion, financially, when vision has been cast. For that, we are truly blessed.

Barbara Bush said, "Giving frees us from the familiar territory of our own needs by opening the mind to the unexplained worlds occupied by the needs of others." Winston Churchhill simplified it by saying, "We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give."

The next few years promise to be the most exciting and fruitful years of our church. In 2 Corinthians 8 and 9, scripture tells us that "... Wise stewards joyfully choose to support God's work and will ..." I for one, charge ahead to do both.

How AWESOME to hear these words, especially for me - "Giving frees us from the familiar territory of our own needs by opening the mind to the unexplained worlds occupied by the needs of others." Time for me to get the Focus off me and let God do what He's gonna do, and in doing so not become (stagnant) - standing still; stale, sluggish, or dull from inaction, not growing or developing! Time to move forward with Great Expectation - The next few years promise to be the most exciting and fruitful years of our church. In 2 Corinthians 8 and 9, scripture tells us that "... Wise stewards joyfully choose to support God's work and will ..." Finally in agreement - I for one, charge ahead to do both.
Love U Pastor Tom what God has Birthed shall be Fullfilled - Thank You for your God Given continued WISDOM!!!
