Merry Christmas!

"Giving the Gift of Jesus" has been a great series of messages this month.  I have had to remind myself while shopping for the "perfect" gift that although we love to give great gifts, the greatest gift we can give is JESUS.  Just as I have been deliberate in my shopping, so too we should be deliberate in giving Jesus to those we are honored to have in our life.  We give Jesus by loving like he loves.

Last night we had a beautiful special Christmas Service at church.  I had the privilege of reading a story to the children.  They are so beautiful with their hearts to know and love God, so tender and loving, and so full of excitement for Christmas!  After the story was read about the meaning of the candy cane they all drew pictures of candy canes for me.  All of them were so well done - some multi colored, some not at all the traditional candy cane.  Many of them wrote sweet notes to me which touched my heart.  I love that the candy canes were all different. 

We are all unique in our personalities, our abilities and our styles - yet, one gift fills the heart of us all.  God loves all of us so much that he gave the perfect gift.  The gift of Jesus.
