Spilled Water
Monday, February 28, 2011 at 02:27AM Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. (Unless you have a Sham Wow) But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him. 2 Samuel 14:14
Just like the spilled water that quickly disappears into the ground, we can feel as if we have little to show for our life. We may feel regret of wasted time or mistakes. Be encouraged, God has a plan.
This scripture is talking about a young man who murdered his step-brother and then was banished from his home. Yet, I love the picture we see of God’s amazing grace here. One translation words it this way, “God does not sweep away the lives of those he cares about and neither should you!”
Your life holds purpose. Don’t sweep it away.

Joyce Thank You this really hits home for me. So many times I think GOD is done with me because of the mistakes and missed opportunities, but again GOD has a word this encourages me. God's grace is so good. I have been reminded and tested that we are to show grace & forgiveness to others just like our Father shows to us. We all make mistakes and we all will need forgiveness and grace from another family member and/or friend sometime in our lives. We should be willing to give what is given to us, Grace-UNDESERVED, UNMERITTED FAVOR!!
